InnoHub

Institutional Guidelines

Reference codes (IH-GOV-XX) identify sections for correspondence with the Innovation Center and training materials.

Purpose and scope

IH-GOV-01

These guidelines describe how InnoHub is intended to be used for campus innovation disclosures. They complement Riara University governance; where official policy documents exist, those documents prevail.

Use this page as a practical checklist before you publish or share sensitive narrative detail.

Accounts and signing in

IH-GOV-02

Access to voting, following, drafting, and workspace features requires signing in with Google. Keep your institutional or designated account in good standing; administrators may restrict access that conflicts with university acceptable-use expectations.

Disclosure quality and drafts

IH-GOV-03

You may save disclosures as drafts while ideas are still taking shape. When you submit for institutional review, problem statements and proposed solutions must meet minimum length thresholds so reviewers receive enough context.

External links (pitch video, demo, repository) are optional; when provided they must use HTTP or HTTPS URLs.

  • Save progress anytime with Draft.
  • Completing disclosure review flow uses Submit with full narrative fields validated server-side.

Visibility: public listing versus institutional-private

IH-GOV-04

Each disclosure records whether you are applying for public innovation-feed listing or keeping the narrative institution-private during review.

Public listing surfaces title, summary narrative, and engagement to signed-in users only after Innovation Center approval and when the lifecycle stage supports listing. You remain responsible for accuracy and for omitting confidential detail from published fields.

Institution-private disclosures still appear on the feed with restricted placeholders so pipeline breadth is visible without exposing titles or PI-facing narrative to the general campus audience.

Attachments

IH-GOV-05

Supporting files are limited to 5 attachments per disclosure and 10 MB each. Allowed types mirror common diligence formats.

Collaboration and workspace

IH-GOV-06

Workspace membership ties formal project teams to an originating disclosure. Treat workspace conversations and documents as institutional collaboration spaces unless you have explicit clearance to redistribute them.

Updates and questions

IH-GOV-07

InnoHub behaviour may evolve as workflows mature; substantive governance changes will be reflected here or linked from official university channels.
